According to the Attendance Boundary Committee, a community advisory committee that reviews school attendance boundary proposals, 12 schools are being reassessed, while 14 schools are under review.
ABC says that schools that are reassessed are evaluated to see if they should continue their operations based on several factors, including “student enrollment trends, facility utilization, academic programming, financial sustainability, building condition, the educational needs of the community, transportation implications, availability of comparable educational programs, community impact, and opportunities for future growth or redevelopment.”

Schools that are under review are not being discussed whether they should be repurposed, but “have been identified for a comprehensive evaluation to determine whether continuing operations best serve the educational, operational, and financial interests of the district and its students,” ABC said.
